Highest standards of quality, accuracy and attention to detail: this is one of my guiding principles in translation, in order to meet the clients’ requirements. Before accepting a job I consider various factors: am I able to translate the text? Can I master the topic that is being dealt with? Can I reproduce its style accurately? Are the delivery times feasible or beyond my capabilities? Is the proposed pay sufficient for the mental effort and time to be dedicated to the translation? If I’m not 100% certain of delivering 100% quality, then I would rather prefer to turn down a translation.
